Poor Rich Folks in the Hamptons…

In a Bloomberg.com article that a client sent me this morning, it was reported that “Home Sales in New York’s Hamptons, the resort towns on the Long Island coast, rose to the highest on record as deals at the upper end of the market surged before expected tax increases for sellers.”

If those wealthy folks that bought all that high-priced real estate would just visit THIS neck of the woods, they could really cash in on some gorgeous beach property at a fraction of what they’re spending up there! Granted…. The Hamptons are beautiful, but if you’ve walked the beaches, fished in the inlets, and teed off on some of the amazing courses in South Carolina, you’ll agree that the Pawleys Island area is as close to paradise as you can get.

1425 DeBordieu Blvd.

Just an hour north of Charleston, South Carolina, Pawleys Island offers beaches, rivers, marshes, creeks, shopping and fine dining that would knock the socks off those poor rich folks that are spending all that money up there in the Hamptons.

If they purchase a luxury beach home in DeBordieu, they will also gain a private, Pete Dye Golf Club, and a 24 hour manned security gate.

They could fly into Charleston, Myrtle Beach, or land their private plane at the Georgetown Airport.

They could keep their yacht at one of several very nice marinas on the widest, most beautiful part of the Intracoastal Waterway.

And they could sit back and laugh at their friends who are still spending top dollar, simply because they don’t know any better.

Now the article talked about how the tax increases for sellers was responsible for this surge in homes sales in the Hamptons…. But you and I know what really sparked it…… I think the TV show REVENGE, has everyone paying more attention to the gorgeous property in the Hamptons, instead of waiting for Emily to knock off the entire Grayson family.

The pictures on this page are a sample of DeBordieu Homes that those who have considered the Hamptons might find attractive. Click on the pictures to be linked to information about them.

(If you are a NY real estate agent reading this, and you would like to score BIG with your wealthiest NY clients, refer them to me. I’ll take excellent care of them, provide the best service known to man, and find them a GREAT property for which they will thank you, forever. OH… and best part…..I’ll send you a check when they close!)

DeBordieu Colony is a very private community on the coast of South Carolina, between Charleston and Myrtle Beach, just south of Pawleys Island. In addition to miles of secluded beach, boat landing access to North Inlet, and a 24-hour manned security gate, the private, equity DeBordieu Club offers Pete Dye golf, a tennis center and an ocean front Beach Club with fine dining, a gazebo bar, two pools, and a playground. There is truly no place like DeBordieu. Come see for yourself.

  1. Seriously!!!? Well I have to say that this is for those only who can afford to own a property in Hamptons and to be honest I believe it would be way to far an average person or family having and average income couldn’t live here…
